Flights
We strongly recommend booking your flights as early as possible, as prices jump up significantly when booking only a few months out.
The closest airport is Jackson Hole airport (JAC). There are limited direct flights (from EWR, SFO, and ORD); other routes may require a connecting flight. (We hope the journey is made easier by the fact that the airport is a short 13 minute drive / Uber to the town of Jackson!)
If a bit of a road trip is appealing to you, other options are to fly into Bozeman (BZN) or Salt Lake City (SLC) and drive to Jackson (4 hours and 4.5 hours respectively). This could be a good option for anyone interested in extending the trip to see Yellowstone and Montana (from Bozeman) or Idaho (from SLC).
Accommodations
One of the great things about Jackson is that there are many hotels, at different price points, close together in town (many within walking distance from our Friday welcome party at the Cloudveil and our Saturday after party at the Million Dollar Cowboy Bar). That being said, we do recommend booking early as places book up and prices rise noticeably as we get closer to summer.
Shuttles to the wedding venue will be picking up from the town of Jackson and Teton Village. Guests will need to take these shuttles to and from the venue, so we recommend staying in the town of Jackson or Teton Village.
Hotel options:
The Cloudveil ($$$): This is where our Friday welcome party will be, and we have a room block link here. ROOM BLOCK LINK. If you’re having issues with the link, please email Kat at the Cloudveil: kat.gruner@thecloudveil.com
Springhill Suites: ($$): Contemporary option with a ~5 minute walk to the town square.
Mountain Modern Motel ($$): Another great updated motel-style option a few blocks from the town square.
The Alpine House ($$): Charming, Swiss-style chalet, a 5 minute walk from the town square.
Parkway Inn ($): Traditional option with mountain decor, 5 minute walk from town square.
The Wort Hotel ($$): Historic hotel in the center of town, attached to the Silver Dollar Bar which has live music every night.
The Antler ($): One of the best economical options, with decently large rooms right near the town square.
Airbnb: Airbnbs can be a great option if you’re looking to share lodging with a large group. We recommend selecting one close to the Jackson town center for easier transportation. There are also some larger Airbnb options near Snow King Mountain, which is a 15-20 minute walk from the center of town.
Transportation
For the wedding (Saturday, July 12):
Shuttles will be provided to and from the venue on Saturday (from Jackson town center; exact details to come). If you aren’t staying within walking distance from the shuttle pick up location, please plan your ride to the shuttle location in advance (Ubers can have long wait times; more info below). The wedding venue does not have parking available.
For all other transportation needs, consider the following options:
Cabs / ridesharing: Locals recommend calling a taxi for rides to / from the airport. Reserve in advance at Jackson Hole Taxi / Teton Mountain Taxi. Hotels can also typically help with this.
Uber and Lyft are available, but can be a bit pricier, and can be less predictable / sometimes scarce.
Rental cars: Rental cars can come in handy, especially if you plan on exploring the area and driving to trailheads. They do book up, so reserve yours early. Note that parking can be somewhat scarce in downtown Jackson in the summer, so consider checking with your lodging about parking. Info on rental car locations coming soon.
Public transportation (the START Bus): The Southern Teton Area Rapid Transit (START Bus) runs routes within the town of Jackson and between Jackson and Teton Village. It’s quite easy to navigate; this is a convenient option if you want to get between Jackson and Teton Village.
